mean more then you can ever express through words. Their mere existence brings you an unexplainable happiness and an indescribable comfort. I just want to take a minute to say thank you to those individuals in my life. I am completely certain that without them I would not be who I am today. Life is short and time is fleeting, so take a minute and be grateful for the extraordinary individuals in your own life. Remember to always take a step back and look at the big picture. It is not the job you have or the possessions you own that make life worth living, but the people you love and those who love you in return.
Sappy yes, but true nonetheless.

Summer has arrived...
and I am officially the worse blogger ever. My initial reasoning for starting a blog was to reflect on my last few weeks in college. Obviously, I failed.
Life goes on.
Graduation was perfect, a love-fest of sorts. I can honestly say I loved every minute. It was a truly beautiful day, and thanks to Sir Edward Elgar's Pomp and Circumstance a tremendously emotional one. Seriously, it gets me every time.
I can sit here for hours and talk about how much I miss school, however doing so will only force me back into the wallowing stage I experienced week one of being home. So I will refrain from reminiscing at this point and instead look ahead...
I'm not exactly sure to what, but I feel that it is the appropriate direction.
As I embark on this new chapter of my life ( the chapter where I tirelessly look for employment and continually face feelings of frustration) I can't help but envy small children. While picking up my 4-year-old nephew from school the other day I saw that he and the rest of his class had small sunflower plants they had planted that day in school. Why can't I spend my day planting sunflower seeds?! (I mean I could, but my family and friends would start to worry) My point is - I miss being a carefree kid. This is teetering on wallowing so I should stop.
I suppose I do in fact have summer to look forward to and I mine as well enjoy all this free time. So as a nod to Summer I present my favorite summer song. Let the carefree adventures begin!
